Milk ☾ Bath
I fold my silk pajamas and set them down by the side of the tub, feeling my tense shoulder muscles relax in anticipation of the therapy only hot water can bring. The tips of my toes are first. I slowly submerge the rest of the way into the cloudy water and watch dreamily as fresh blooms bob on the surface of the water. Pure bliss.
Cleopatra was renowned throughout history for her radiant skin and striking beauty. She was rumored to bathe in milk to keep her skin soft and beautiful. With the rise of homeopathic remedies in place of harsher ingredients, I’ve been eager to create a luxurious milk bath of my own. This is an ideal way to treat yourself after a long day - and phew - not sure about you all, but it feels like there’s no better time to renew than these first months in 2021. So grab a glass of your favorite wine or beverage, sit back, relax and enjoy this soothing treatment for long days.

MAKE YOUR BATH
I filled up the tub with the regular level of water I prefer for baths. Next come the epsom salts. Shake a good mount into the hot water. Then, I used about 1/2 a carton of the milk. Pour it directly in! Finally, I placed flowers on top of the surface (they’ll float) and treated myself to a GENEROUS glass of white wine because…Monday!
Voilà! You’ll emerge from the tub glowing, refreshed, pampered and ready for a deep night of sleep.
